Government of 12 (G12)
Jesus Christ is our example! He began the Government of Twelve when He met with His disciples following His resurrection and gave them "The Great Commission."
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." (Matthew 28:19-20 KJV)
What is the Government of 12?
In one sentence, the Government of Twelve is when a trained and approved leader, serving under the spiritual authority of the pastor, gives spiritual oversight to twelve others for the purpose of discipleship and personal evangelism.
What is a Cell?
A cell is where two or more people meet together to pray, to study the Word of God and to disciple new converts. Cornerstone Church is a spiritual body consisting of hundreds of cells...cells consisting of compassionate, loving people with a passionate desire to have a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and a richer relationship with each other. Every cell functions within the infrastructure of the Government of Twelve!
Most people come to Cornerstone from smaller churches and feel overwhelmed by the size of this congregation. Many say, "I like a smaller church!" How about a church of twelve? A church of Twelve that meets in your neighborhood every week?
If you're searching for an exciting New Testament experience...you're searching for The Government of Twelve and the Cell Ministry.
Call the office of the Government of Twelve at 210-499-1603 and ask the Secretary to direct you to the Cell Meeting in your neighborhood. Do it today!
